Dr Carrothers replaced both my hips in the course of three years. Both operations went very well and I recovered very quickly.

I can't speak highly enough about this doctor. He did an excellent job on my knee. I was straight back to work.. 3 months on, no pain, full mobility. You are lucky if you get this guy.

This is my second review as I am now a year down the road from my knee replacement and couldn't be happier with the care I have received and the outcome from my surgery. I was very young to have a joint replacement but my quality of life was severely restricted. I am now back to leading a full and active life and have resumed all my activities that had been put on hold - even to the extent of being confident that I will enjoy my skiing holiday in a few weeks time. The decision to have the surgery was not taken lightly but with Mr Carrother's surgical expertise and my commitment to recovery I am confident that we made the right decision and I would have no hesitation in recommending his services to others.

Next week I will be having a total knee replacement of my right knee.Five months ago I underwent a knee replacement of my left knee, the operation has been very successful so I am feeling quite relaxed in having this procedure done again in a few days time ! Andrew Carrothers has done a great job,I have no pain at all in the knee and have a good range of movement, walking is a pleasure again and my posture has improved and I am now upright again.I had the procedure that included using the Mako robotic assisted Triathion,I had no bruising and my very neat scar is hardly visable. Interestingly,my physio commented that he was so impressed with the scar.I was in hospital for three days and then started on lots of physio thereafter which is so important . Mr Carrothers and his team have provided a first class service from his secretary through to anaesthetist and all the caring nurses in between, all very helpful and reassuring. I am delighted to be under Mr Carrothers care.

I had Mako assisted left hip replacement just before Christmas. I thank Andrew for fully understanding my concerns and answering all my questions at the initial consultation, during the hospital stay and at the six week post op check. Mr Carrothers has a very assuring manner and has made me feel at ease throughout the whole process. After a number of years of just putting up with the stiffness in my hip and my ever decreasing walking speed, I am so pleased to have taken the plunge and gone ahead with having the procedure done. Life changing!
